I took these pictures in a forest near my house. I saw a tree covered in vines and thought it would make a beautiful picture. While editing them, I tried to make the leaves on the vines stand out so the viewer would be drawn to them. I want these pictures to convey almost a melancholy emotion. With their dark colors and lonely setting I think its pretty fitting. I took these pictures on the edge of a clearing in the woods. I took these pictures in the woods as well. I tried to make them look big and powerful by taking the pictures at an unusual angle. I also tried to increase the contrast when editing them to make the tree trunks more prominent. I tried to create majestic and powerful feeling with this piece and I think I succeeded. I took these pictures of an old log in the woods. I thought it looked so broken and interesting that I had to capture it. I really enjoyed using the paint filter on pictures such as this one because it tends to almost distort the image, leaving a lot of it to your imagination. In these pictures I tried to convey emotions of mystery. These pictures are of the forest floor. I really enjoyed editing them because they have some nice colors and contrast. In these pictures, I tried to make the one on the left feel warm and happy while making the one on the right feel cold and almost gloomy.

Fall Wistful Sunny Just too Cute Cheeky Adorable That Post-Practice Glow Natural Beauty
I took this picture of a teammate of mine named Ava. She is an amazing soccer player and a great teammate. Her natural beauty is so stunning that I couldn't help but use her as my subject. I took this picture right after a practice so I thought it was incredible how she managed to look so good while being sweaty and tired. I tried to take the picture with as few distractions in the background as possible, this proved difficult seeing as the field was busy behind her. Taking the picture was challenging seeing as I've never photographed anything other than random objects before. I tried to use selective focus to make the viewer immediately see my subjects face and be drawn in by it. I also took the picture near the end of the day to get my desired lighting. |
